Hunting only has a future if the countryside has one.
Biodiversity
The hills around Moni hold birds, hares, reptiles and plants that depend on scrub, carob and pine. We treat that habitat as part of the club's responsibility, not as a backdrop.
Sustainable game management
We support the seasons, quotas and restrictions set by the Game and Fauna Service, including restocking and rest areas where these are applied.
Protected species and protected areas
Protected species are never a target. Members respect the boundaries and rules of protected areas, including Natura 2000 sites, no-hunting zones and private land.
Working with the authorities
We cooperate with the Game and Fauna Service, the Department of Forests, the Department of Environment and the local authorities of Moni, and we pass on reports of illegal activity.
Fire
Fire is the largest single threat to wildlife here. Members are reminded every summer about fire risk in the field, and the club helps with prevention awareness and with clean-up and water supply after fires in our area.
