Governance, transparency & compliance
Ulvilan Nuorten Soittajien Tuki ry is a registered non-profit association in Finland (Ry — rekisteröity yhdistys). The association is entered in the Finnish Register of Associations maintained by the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and operates under the Finnish Associations Act and its own approved rules.
Our association operates strictly for public benefit and non-profit educational purposes. All revenue, memberships, donations and grants are exclusively reinvested into youth music programs, instrument procurement and educational activities. No profits or dividends accrue to private individuals.
Should the association ever be dissolved, its remaining assets would be transferred to another registered organisation pursuing the same youth music education purpose, in accordance with the association's rules.
Official registration data for non-profit eligibility review
Members elect the chairperson and board at the annual general meeting. The board meets regularly, keeps written minutes and decides on instrument purchases, scholarship awards, programme plans and partnerships. Board members serve voluntarily and receive no salary or dividends.
Bookkeeping follows Finnish accounting practice for associations. Annual financial statements and the activity report are reviewed and presented to members for approval, and grant funds are reported separately to each grant provider.
Activities involving minors are run with the knowledge and consent of guardians. Personal data is processed only for programme administration under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, as described in our privacy policy.
