Empowering the Next Generation of Young Musicians Across Finland

Ulvilan Nuorten Soittajien Tuki ry was founded by music educators, orchestra parents and former youth ensemble players who saw talented children stop playing for one reason only: cost. An entry-level clarinet, a term of tuition, or transport to a regional rehearsal is enough to end a young player's musical development before it begins. Our association exists to remove exactly those barriers.

Operating from our registered office at Äimäkuja 2, 90400 Oulu, Finland, we work in direct partnership with municipal music schools, comprehensive schools, youth centres and volunteer conductors in Oulu and the surrounding region. Each academic term we assess applications from families and teachers, allocate instruments and stipends, and organise rehearsal blocks, masterclasses and public performances where young players can present their work to their own community.

As a registered association under Finnish law (PRO: 30637184), our activities are non-commercial and governed by our rules and general meeting. Every allocation decision is minuted, every purchase is receipted, and our programme outcomes are reported to our members and partner institutions.
